Free Minutes and Intro Offers Explained: Getting the Most From Your First Reading
Nearly every psychic platform gives new customers something – three free minutes, $30 of credit, $1 per minute. Here is what each offer actually means and how to turn it into a useful reading.
The three types of offer
- Free minutes (3 or 5 minutes): the clock starts when the session starts; after the free minutes the advisor's normal rate applies. Usually valid once, with any advisor, often only on your first purchase.
- Free credit ($10–$30): money added to your account after you register or make a first deposit. It is spent at the advisor's rate, so $30 is 6 minutes at $5/min or 15 minutes at $2/min.
- Discounted rate ($1 per minute, 50% off): a reduced price for the first session, sometimes capped at a number of minutes.
Reading the small print
Three things decide how useful an offer is: whether you must deposit first, whether it works with every advisor or only some, and how long the credit lasts. How to use free minutes well
- Do not use them to "test" the psychic with trick questions. You will spend your free time on a game instead of your question.
- Open with one clear question and the context in two sentences. Advisors who are good will take it from there.
- Decide in advance how much you will spend after the free minutes and set that as the session limit.
- Use the free minutes with the advisor you actually want, not with whoever is first in the list. Filter by specialty and reviews first.
Which offer is best?
It depends on the rate of the advisor you want. If they charge $2/min, $30 credit gives you a full 15-minute reading. If they charge $8/min, "5 minutes free" is worth more than $30 credit. For an advisor in the middle ($4–5/min), a $1-per-minute intro rate is usually the best deal because it is not capped by a small amount.
What happens after the offer
You pay the normal per-minute rate shown on the profile, and nothing else. There are no subscriptions on the services we list; you add funds when you want a reading. If a session was disappointing, use the satisfaction guarantee quickly – most platforms require the request within 24 hours.
