Phone, Chat or Video: Which Type of Psychic Reading Is Right for You?

All three methods connect you to the same advisors at the same rate. They feel very different, though – and the right choice depends on your question and your personality.
Chat readings
Best for: privacy, first-timers, people who think while they type.
You and the advisor exchange messages in real time. Nobody can overhear you, you can do it from the office or the sofa, and most platforms keep a transcript you can re-read later. The pace is slower, which some people find calming and others frustrating. Because typing takes time, a chat session may use more minutes for the same amount of information.
Phone readings
Best for: speed, emotional questions, a personal connection.
Talking is faster than typing, so you get more said per minute. Hearing a voice also makes it easier to tell whether you connect with the advisor – important for love and grief readings. The downsides: you need a quiet place, and there is no transcript unless you take notes.
Video readings
Best for: tarot and card readings, people who want to see the advisor.
Video is the closest thing to sitting in the room. For tarot or oracle cards it is the only way to see the spread. It is the least private option and needs a good connection. Purple Garden and Mysticsense offer all three methods; Kasamba is chat-focused.
Does the method change the price?
On the platforms we list, no – the advisor's per-minute rate is the same for chat, phone and video. What changes is how many minutes you use. A 10-minute phone call usually covers what a 15-minute chat does.
Which should a first-timer choose?
Chat, in most cases. You can take your time, there is no awkward silence, and the transcript lets you judge afterwards whether the reading was any good. Once you have an advisor you trust, switch to phone or video for the longer conversations.
